Sheffield Wednesday in talks with Danny Cowley over managerial role

Sheffield Wednesday are in talks with Lincoln manager Danny Cowley concerning the managerial position in Hillsborough, Sky Sports understands.
After Steve Bruce stop to join Newcastle in mid-july, with Lee Bullen in bank, the Owls are searching for a new director.
However, Sheffield Wednesday are 11th in the Sky Bet Championship table entering this week break and have lost three of their last four league matches.
It is believed any bargain for Cowley will have his brother and helper, Nicky, making the change into South Yorkshire.
Lincoln have told Sky Sports News that the brothers will take control of Tuesday night’s Trophy game against Doncaster.
At which they now sit second in the table Ipswich since taking over Lincoln during the summer of 2016, the duo have accepted the club in the National League.
Throughout their period at Sincil Bank, the club were also the very first non-league side to reach the FA Cup quarter-finals for 103 years using Lincoln also winning the Checkatrade Trophy (currently Trophy) at 2017-18.
